Privacy policy
The short version: this storefront runs without accounts. It uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used and to measure Google Ads conversions, but your cart lives in your own browser, a quote request is an ordinary email to our sales desk, and payment happens on Shopify's hosted checkout.
Analytics and advertising
We use Google Analytics 4 to see how visitors find and use the site — pages viewed, products viewed, searches, add-to-cart and checkout steps — along with a first-party visit id and any campaign (UTM) parameters in the link you arrived from. It loads through Google's gtag.js tag, which sets Google Analytics cookies and sends this usage data to Google; Google processes it under the Google privacy policy. We don't sell this data or use it to identify you personally.
That same Analytics data is used to measure Google Ads conversions — which ads led to a quote or an order. There is no separate advertising pixel embedded on this site; conversions are imported from Analytics on our side, and we don't run cross-site remarketing from the storefront today.
Two things keep the footprint small. The tag is lazy-loaded — it doesn't download until you first interact with the page (or a few seconds pass), so a quick bounce sends little or nothing. And it runs under Google Consent Mode v2; as a US business storefront, analytics and ads storage are granted by default. To opt out, install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or block analytics cookies (a Do-Not-Track / Global Privacy Control signal from your browser or an extension works too).
Your cart and browsing tools
The cart, the compare list and the recently-viewed strip are stored in your browser's local storage, on your device — we can't read them, and clearing your browser data clears them. We also keep a small first-party "first touch" record there: a random visit id, your landing page, and any campaign parameters. It stays on your device — the visit id is the same one sent to Analytics above, and only if you start a checkout does it ride along to Shopify so an order can be tied back to the campaign that produced it.
Checkout
When you check out, your cart items are passed to Shopify, our commerce provider, and you complete the purchase on Shopify's hosted checkout. The name, address and payment details you enter there are collected and processed by Shopify under the Shopify privacy policy; we receive the order details we need to fulfill and support your order. A first-party analytics identifier is attached to the order so we can attribute it to the campaign that produced it, as described above.
Quotes and contact
The quote form composes an email from your device to sales@ledlighting-solutions.com — there is no form backend. What you send us (name, email, phone, the job details) arrives as ordinary email, and we use it to answer your request. The newsletter signup works the same way: it composes an email from your device — we add you to our list by hand and you can unsubscribe by replying.
Embedded videos
Some product pages include click-to-play YouTube videos. When such a video scrolls into view, a still preview image (the poster thumbnail) is loaded from YouTube's image CDN (i.ytimg.com), which lets Google see your IP address and user-agent. The video player itself is served from the privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com domain and does not load until you press play; from that point YouTube's own privacy policy applies.
